Theatre Royal, Glasgow has announced that under 30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits will be eligible to book £15 tickets for Cyrano de Bergerac starring James McAvoy, thanks to The Jamie Lloyd Company's 'Rush' ticket initiative. 

The first Cyrano Rush £15 tickets are released at 12pm today, Monday 24 January, for The Jamie Lloyd Company's critically acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning production of Edmond Rostand's Cyrano de Bergerac, freely adapted by Martin Crimp, directed by Jamie Lloyd, and starring James McAvoy.

The Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) has just announced new dates for Jamie Lloyd's bold, Olivier-winning revival of Cyrano de Bergerac-written by Edmond Rostand and freely adapted by Martin Crimp-at the BAM Harvey Theater from Apr 5-May 22. It was originally scheduled for spring 2020 after a sold-out run at The Playhouse Theater. This production's 2022 engagements also include dates at London's Harold Pinter Theatre from February 3-March 12, and the Theatre Royal Glasgow from March 18-26.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming online live read-through of Romeo & Juliet. The event takes place on Thursday 11th March 2021, bringing to life William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet and free to watch for all school-age students across the UK.

More than 26,000 students logged on for the first-ever live ReadThrough event held on Thursday 11th Feb, with a cast including Joe Lycett, Pearl Mackie, Remmie Milner and Esther Smith performing Macbeth to aide student's comprehension of the curriculum text.

On Hostile Ground is a new musical by Darren Clark (lyrics), Juliet Gilkes Romero (book), Michael Henry (music and orchestrations) and Charlotte Westenra (co-creator and director), inspired by the stories of the people affected by the government’s hostile environment policy. The musical is being released in a series of free videos, starting from Tuesday 16 February. 

A group of professionals from television, film and theatre, brought together by theatre company Moya Productions, have launched ReadThrough – a brand new online play reading service designed to improve the comprehension of exam-body English plays for students across the UK, with a particular focus on students from less privileged backgrounds.

The National Theater may soon bring another London hit stateside.

Last night, Wednesday 23 March, saw the opening night of the much-anticipated production of Duncan Macmillan's intoxicating new play, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS, at the Wyndham's Theatre. Having recently extended its run for two weeks due to popular demand, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS is booking to 18 June 2016. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening night festivities below!

Transferring to the West End after a sell-out National Theatre run, Duncan Macmillan's PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS opened last night at Wyndham's Theatre. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, the show is a collaboration between the National and Headlong. It's recently extended its run and is now booking to June 18.

Previews begin at the Wyndham's Theatre on Tuesday 15 March, with opening night on Wednesday 23 March, and having recently extended its run, PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS is booking until 18 June 2016. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS, a collaboration between the National Theatre and Headlong, played to sell-out houses at the NT's Dorfman Theatre last year.
