Interrobang Theatre Announces New Programming for Eleventh Season

Following its hit world premiere of The Spin, written and directed by Spenser Davis, Interrobang Theatre Project has announced additional online programming for its Eleventh Season: Off The Record, exploring what happens when the world stops and life becomes virtual.

Remote Theater to Present Anthony Clarvoe's THE ART OF SACRIFICE

Remote Theater announces the production team for Anthony Clarvoe's play THE ART OF SACRIFICE. The production is directed by Desdemona Chiang, with a cast that features Lauren English and Susi Damilano, original music by Paul Dresher and site design by Charlie Costantini. The premiere virtual performance of THE ART OF SACRIFICE is on Saturday December 12 (12 Noon PST, 9 AM EST) 

Remote Theater to Present A Reading of MANATEE ON MARS

On the anniversary of the Americans With  Disabilities Act (ADA), two theater organizations join forces on Saturday September 26 ( 2PM Pacific, 5PM Eastern)  to virtually present award-winning playwright Tanya Shaffer's MANATEE ON MARS, a dramedy about the struggles that children on the spectrum and their families face in the American school system. 

Lloyd Suh Named 2020 Recipient Of The Horton Foote Prize

Mari Marchbanks (Founder and Executive Director) announced today that The 2020 Horton Foote Prize has been awarded to Lloyd Suh for his play The Chinese Lady. Awarded since 2010, the biennial prize is named in honor of the late playwright, and recognizes excellence in American theatre.

Culture Clash will Return to Berkeley Repertory Theatre with CULTURE CLASH (STILL) IN AMERICA

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced that Bay Area natives and provocateurs, Culture Clash, are returning with their latest production, Culture Clash (Still) in America. The play, written and performed by Culture Clash and directed by Obie Award winner Lisa Peterson, marks the fifth time the satirical group has performed at Berkeley Rep.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company Announces New Leadership

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) has announced that Associate Artistic Director Adam Sanders has assumed the position of Managing Director of CSC. His past position of Associate Artistic Director will be filled by Elliot Norton Award-winning director Bryn Boice, who will be in charge of CSC's Apprentice Program, CSC2 and Stage2, CSC's Shakespeare performances for young audiences. They will both support Artistic Director Steven Maler in continuing the work of CSC for future seasons.

Jeremy Herrin Will Stand Down As Artistic Director Of Headlong

Jeremy Herrin announced today that after 7 years as Artistic Director of Headlong he will be stepping down in 2020 to pursue a career as a freelance director. During the seven years Herrin has led the company it has experienced remarkable success with his own productions such as the ground-breaking The Nether which played at the Royal Court and in the West End; the multi-award-winning People, Places and Things by Duncan Macmillan which played at the National Theatre, on tour in the UK, in the West End and at St Ann's Warehouse; Jack Thorne and Stephen Warbeck's Junkyard on tour in the UK; James Graham's This House on tour in the UK and in the West End; and Graham's Olivier Award-Winning play Labour of Love in the West End.
