Based on the classic fairy tale of the same name, this musical version of Cinderella concerns a young woman forced into a life of servitude by her cruel stepmother, who dreams of a better life. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into an elegant young lady and is able to attend the ball to meet her Prince.
As the crisp winter air arrives, inside Raleigh Little Theatre, things begin heating up. Cinderella has been entrancing audiences of all ages for thirty-one years with its spectacles of comedic repertoire and phenomenal character dynamics. Year by year, the show has brought forth new design elements and consistent entertainment which has influenced the growth of attendance to reach record numbers. The talented team of Rod and Nancy Rich direct Cinderella once again after showing meticulous artistry with the 30th Anniversary production last year.
Another award-winning children's book comes to life at Raleigh Little Theatre with Patricia McKissack's Mirandy and Brother Wind. This production is the area premiere of a musical adapted by Michael Bobbitt and John Cornelius. It tells the story of a little girl who attempts to win a Cake Walk by capturing Brother Wind.

The season opens on Sunday, October 5, 2014 with Italian pianist Maurizio Pollini in recital. In total, the 2014-2015 season will include 46 music, dance and entertainment engagements. Raleigh Little Theatre (RLT) has announced the theme of its 2014-15 season. 'A Season of Love,' approaches the topic of love from a variety of angles. Whether it's love of one's family and a teenage romance in Hairspray, the love between a child and a toy in The Velveteen Rabbit, or a historical novel colliding with a modern tale in Venus In Fur, the theme offers many compelling iterations for audiences of all ages. RLT also plans to name a new artistic director this spring, the culmination of a nation-wide search near completion. In February 2015, the artistic director will play an integral part in the a comedy in the Sutton Series, plays that focus on classic titles for general audiences.
