Nashville Children's Theatre, the nation's oldest professional theatre for young audiences today announces full casting and creative teams for the 2017-2018 season, opening the theater's 87th season - its first with programming designed by new executive artistic director Ernie Nolan.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Young Conservatory (YC) Director Craig Slaight announced today the lineup for the YC's winter/spring 2017 performances. From February 7-11, the YC will present Timothy Mason's The Life to Come, a co-commission with His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen, Scotland. From April 18-22, the YC will present Tomorrow, two one-act plays by Horton Foote. Both productions will take place in The Rueff at A.C.T.'s Strand Theater (1127 Market Street, San Francisco). Nominations for the 23rd Annual SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS were announced live today from the Pacific Design Center. Sophia Bush (Chicago P.D., One Tree Hill) and Common (Suicide Squad, Selma) joined SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris to reveal this year's announce the nominees.

Louis Karchin's Jane Eyre, a full-length opera in three acts with a libretto by Diane Osen based on Charlotte Bronte's novel, will receive its world premiere today, October 20, 7:30pm with a second performance on Saturday, October 22, 8pm at The Kaye Playhouse (Hunter College).  Jane Eyre is Karchin's second opera, composed in 2014, following his critically acclaimed one-act comic opera Romulus.   The work draws on a cast of 9 singers, an orchestra of 34 musicians, and chorus.  The production coincides with the 200th anniversary year of the birth of writer Charlotte Bronte.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today, April 19th that two-time Tony Award-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick and multiple Tony-nominated director Marshall W. Mason will be this year's recipients of the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.

The 20th Season of Broadway Onstage Live Theatre and the 33rd, and final, season of Dennis Wickline Productions continues with the Neil Simon Comedy THE SUNSHINE BOYS, opening on Friday, February 21 and running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm through Saturday, March 22.

'Versailles' by Richard Ploetz is a dark and winding tale of a 28-year old single mother and 'party girl' fighting against desperate circumstances and dead-end relationships in a seedy North Florida community. Estranged from her family, her youth and beauty fading, she works as a pole dancer and tests her sexual powers on her boyfriend, her boss and her neighbors until a mysterious figure, Mr. Mason, appears, who may bring her deliverance or further entrap her. Her jagged story will be told February 20 to March 9 at Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., presented by Nedworks Inc. Ian Streicher directs.

The twentieth season of Broadway Onstage Live Theatre and the thirty-third, and final, season of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc. continues with the return of CHRISTMAS BELLES, a delightful Holiday Comedy by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten when it opens on Friday, December 6 at the Eastpointe Theatre. Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm through December 21, the production will also be offered during two special 2pm Sunday Matinees on Sunday, December 8 and Sunday, December 15.

San Jose Stage Company and Broadway San Jose are pleased to announce the winners of the Bay Area High School Musical Theatre Awards. Two Bay Area students, Rodd Fahardi from Los Gatos High School and Myha'la Herrold from Archbishop Mitty High School, were also chosen for Outstanding Performance by an Actor and Actress in a musical to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards: 2013 JIMMY Awards, where they will perform at The Minskoff Theatre, the Broadway stage that currently houses The Lion King.

The 19th Season of Broadway Onstage Live Theatre and the 32nd Season of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc. continues with the award-winning comedy GOD OF CARNAGE, by Yazmina Reza as translated by Christopher Hampton, when it opens on Friday, September 7 at the Eastpointe Theatre. Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm, this comedy tells the story of two couples coming together to discuss an altercation between their respective children in a nearby park. The production runs through Saturday, October 6.

BLAST!, winner of the 2001 Tony Award for "Best Special Theatrical Event," and the 2001 Emmy Award for "Best Choreography," will play The Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend February 14, 2012 for one night only.
