The Amoralists present the World Premiere of The Bad and the Better, written by Derek Ahonen, directed by Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin and featuring The Amoralists acting ensemble. The acclaimed downtown theater company moves uptown for a 6-week Off-Broadway run from June 14 - July 21, 2012 at The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, located at 416 West 42 Street between 9 and 10 Avenues in New York City. BroadwayWorld.com has learned that casting is now under way for a 29-hour reading of ANASTASIA - A New Musical, based on the hit 1997 animated motion picture from Fox Animation Studios. The musical, which is in its early stages of development will feature the five songs from the film along with fifteen new songs written for the stage.

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark celebrated its one-year anniversary on Broadway yesterday, June 14, 2012. Embarking on its second year on Broadway, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark began preview performances on November 28, 2010, and officially opened on Tuesday, June 14, 2011.

The Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) in New Hope, Pennsylvania, has announced the casting for its first production of the summer, Rodgers & Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing. The cast will feature a line-up of some of Broadway's most seasoned performers including Courtney Balan (Broadway: [title of show], Cry-Baby), Ron Bohmer (Broadway: Phantom of the Opera, Ragtime), Greg Bosworth (Atlanta: Xanadu, Clyde and Bonnie: A Folktale), Erin Davie (Broadway: A Little Night Music, Grey Gardens), and Kenita R. Several months ago, 8 year old Armando Bigo was shot in the Bronx while out shopping with his mother. When SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark learned that he is a big time Spidey fan they invited him to the show. After an amazing recovery, he attended on Saturday afternoon with his best friend.
