Andy Sandberg is set to direct a new musical, BEYOND THE MUSIC, January 28th and 29th, with music and lyrics by Cliff Downs and Katie Kahanovitz and book by Sandberg.
NBC's THE VOICE will deck the halls in early December with several popular singing stars - including NE-YO, Matchbox Twenty and Michael Buble - as well as fan-favorites Juliet Simms (Team CeeLo), Chris Mann (Team Christina) and RaeLynn (Team Blake) from the last cycle of the hit vocal competition series.
December also brings several high profile Bublé appearances including his upcoming 2nd Annual NBC Holiday Special 'Home for the Holidays' filmed in his native Vancouver which will be airing December 10th at 10 pm EST and preceded by a performance on NBC's hit show 'The Voice' where Bublé mentored Blake Shelton's team on a series of shows that ran last month.
LAByrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble presents the World Premiere production of Radiance, written by Cusi Cram and directed by Suzanne Agins. The complete cast includes Kelly AuCoin (Julius Caesar, Julie & Julia) and Ana Reeder (Top Girls, Sight Unseen), as well as Labyrinth Company Members Kohl Sudduth (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Take Me Out) and Aaron Roman Weiner (Thinner Than Water, The Glass Menagerie). Jose Llana (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Enrico Rodriguez (Zanna, Don't!, Rent) will star. Costs of Living, with book, music and lyrics by Timothy Huang, was a selection of Stephen Schwartz's 2012 ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop and a 2012 American Harmony Prize finalist.

According to the New York Times, playwritght Glen Berger, who recently worked alongside Julie Taymor, Bono and the Edge on Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, will write a book on the whole saga, titled "Song of Spider-Man: The Inside Story of the Most Controversial Musical in Broadway History."

On Sunday October 14, 2012, Broadway Workshop hosted a one day musical theatre master class with Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher, NBC's SMASH). 18 lucky Broadway Workshop students between the ages of 13-18 participated in this 4 hour class. In addition to working with Mr. Borle on song interpretation and audition technique, students also took part in a dance master class with season 1 SMASH associate choreographer, Valerie Salgado. The sold out workshop was held at Ripley Grier Studios and is part of Broadway Workshop's fall master class series.
