Liz Callaway, BROADWAY'S RISING STARS, et al. Included in Town Hall's Summer Line-Up

The Town Hall, New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, just announced the 6th annual Summer Broadway Festival created, written, and hosted by Scott Siegel for the Town Hall. Presented on three consecutive Monday nights in July at 8PM are Frank Sinatra Jr. in Sinatra Sings Sinatra on July 16th, Broadway's Rising Stars on July 23rd, and Liz Callaway, in brand new show, with three of Broadway's leading men - Even Stephen on July 30th. Tickets for Sinatra Sings Sinatra and Liz Callaway in Even Stephen with three of Broadway' are $55, and tickets for Broadway's Rising Stars are $40. Frank Sinatra JR. SINGS SINATRA on July 16th, features Frank Sinatra, Jr and his Octet. Frank keeps those memories alive and creates new ones with his show. In song and style, Frank Sinatra Jr. pays homage to his father, the singer and the music that defines the Sinatra legend by performing such songs as 'Strangers in the Night', 'Foggy Day in London Town', 'I've Got You Under My Skin' and 'New York New York' The evening featuring some of the finest musicians in the country, many of whom have been traveling with Frank for over 30 years. At a young age, Frank Sinatra Jr. had dreamed of becoming a piano player and songwriter. By his early teens, he was performing at local clubs and venues and when he was 19, he became the vocalist for Sam Donahue's band. He also spent a considerable amount of time learning the music business with Duke Ellington. .

BROADWAY'S RISING STARS on July 23rd is once again directed by Nightlife Award-winning vocalist Scott Coulter. The next generation of Broadway performers were chosen during auditions throughout the spring and come from theatrical institutions across the country, including AMDA, CAP21, Steinhardt, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Melon, Marymount and The New School. These young future performers will make their auspicious debut on The Town Hall stage in what has now become regarded as the country's national showcase.

Liz Callaway's new show EVEN STEPHEN on July 30th features the music of three of Liz Callaway's favorite composers who happen to share the same name: Stephen Flaherty, Stephen Schwartz, and Stephen Sondheim. A Tony® Nominee for her performance in Baby, Ms. Callaway will be joined onstage by three of Broadway's finest men, Jason Danieley (Curtains), Tony® Nominee Joshua Henry (Scottsboro Boys, Porgy and Bess) and Tony® Nominee Norm Lewis( title role in Porgy and Bess), with a surprise guest or two. Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along and has appeared as Grizabella in Cats for five years. She was also nominated for a Tony® Award for her performance in Baby.

The Town Hall, a National Historic landmark located in the heart of New York City's theatre district, is a non-profit organization serving the community since 1921. It was built by a group of suffragettes and began as a lecture hall and public forum for debates where "America's Town Meetings on The Air" was broadcast live for 25 years. Over the decades, cultural icons including Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, MiLes Davis, and most recently, the Dalai Lama and President Obama, have graced the stage. Today the Hall boasts the hottest acts in rock, pop, folk, cabaret, world music, comedy and dance. In its annual show, Broadway Rising Stars, The Town Hall gives recent graduates from the nation's leading performing arts schools a chance to showcase their talents and perform on the legendary stage. The Town Hall Educational Outreach Program helps schools build their arts programs and advance student learning through standards-based, collaborative arts residencies. Over the past two-and-a-half decades, The Town Hall has produced the Feature Film Seminar Series and a number of new and critically acclaimed musical series, which include the Spring Series, Broadway By The Year®, The Broadway Cabaret Festival and The Summer Broadway Festival.
