Curtis Holbrook, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Patti Murin & Jason “SweetTooth” Williams Read LA STREGA, 6/6

By:

Anne Berlin presents a staged reading of LA STREGA, directed by Noah Racey, as part of the 4th Annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity where she is a returning artist. The Festivity takes place at 1pm today, June 6 at The Theatres at 45 Bleecker in New York City.

Curtis Holbrook (Broadway’s West Side Story, Xanadu, & All Shook Up), Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Broadway’s Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Chicago) Patti Murin (Broadway Lysistrata Jones & Xanadu), & Jason “SweetTooth” Williams (Off Broadway’s The Black Suits, Things to Ruin) have been cast in a staged reading of award winning musical theater writer and Planet Connections Theatre returning artist, Anne Berlin's new romantic comedy, LA STREGA directed by Noah Racey. Anne’s work was recently seen at The York Theatre and the New York Music Theater Festival (NYMF) and has appeared in the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity since its inception.

LA STREGA is a contemporary fast-paced romantic comedy about a modern day witch, Lucrezia, who has given up magic for a ‘normal life’ as a film publicist. But when her colleague is having relationship problems, she decides to help by dabbling with magic. Spells and romance go awry and everyone falls in love with everyone until true love finds the way! Following the reading is a wine reception recognizing (PEM) Peabody Essex Museum/ The Phillips Library for The Salem Witch Trials Paper to help raise awareness about historic Salem Witch Trials.

THE PLANET CONNECTIONS THEATRE FESTIVITY is New York’s premiere eco-friendly theatre festival. Fostering a diverse cross-section of performances, the festival seeks to inspire artists and audiences both creatively and fundamentally, in a festive atmosphere. At the heart of the festivity are like-minded individuals striving to create professional, meaningful theatre, while supporting organizations, which give back to the community at large.

The reading is at Bleecker Street Theatre (Upstairs) 45 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012, located near Bleecker St (4 & 6) Broadway – Lafayette St (B, D, F, M), Prince St (N, R).

The reading is open to the public. Reservations are required. For free tickets reserve online or by phone at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/911577 or by phone at 1-866-811-4111.
