NIGHT STORIES, comprising four tales of reanimation by Yiddish poet and resistance fighter Avrom Sutzkever, will conclude its South American tour this Saturday, November 29th at Cine Teatro Joia in Rio de Janeiro.

New photos have been released of BASHEVIS’S DEMONS, which comprises three short stories by legendary Nobel Prize winner Isaac Bashevis Singer and will be presented Off-Broadway direct from engagements in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. 

BASHEVIS'S DEMONS, which debuted in Stockholm in December 2023, will make its official Off-Broadway bow at Out of the Box Theatre, 154 Christopher Street (between Greenwich & Washington Streets), with performances beginning December 18th and running through January 5th.

This May, the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research is hosting Continuing Evolution: Yiddish Folksong Today, a music festival featuring four concerts which cross stylistic boundaries between classical music and folk performance. The play, which had its Lower East Side debut in 1892 and was written as a star vehicle for Jacob Adler, one of the greatest actors of the New York's Yiddish stage. Metropolitan Playhouse welcomes back director Ed Chemaly (The Easiest Way, The Spirit House) to helm the production.
