The Kennedy Center engagement of To Kill a Mockingbird, Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin’s new play, directed by Tony® winner Bartlett Sher and based on Harper Lee’s classic novel, will play the Kennedy Center’s Opera House, June 21–July 10, 2022. The Old Vic just celebrated opening night of the world premiere production of Mike Bartlett's viciously funny The 47th, directed by Rupert Goold and co-produced with Sonia Friedman Productions and Annapurna Theatre.

One for the money, two for the show. The second play written by Mike Bartlett has now opened in London. With a revival of Cock running at the Ambassadors and Scandaltown opening in Hammersmith next week, the playwright is quite the rarity, one of the very few to’ve had multiple productions on at the same time in the capital.

Barry Diller and Sonia Friedman today announce the extension of the critically acclaimed West End production of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird – a new play by Aaron Sorkin – with the production now running at the Gielgud Theatre until 19 November, 2022. 

Aaron Sorkin’s hit Broadway adaptation of Harper Lee’s seminal 1960 novel has finally reached us, following Covid delays and a few real-life legal dramas. Lee’s estate sued Sorkin for making changes to the characters, while the since publicly disgraced (and removed) Mockingbird producer Scott Rudin bullied every other adaptation of Lee’s book off the stage.

Akram Khan Company will present the world premiere of Akram Khan’s new work, Jungle Book reimagined – a deeply personal interpretation based on the original story of Rudyard Kipling’s much-loved family classic – at Leicester’s Curve Theatre, 2 - 9 April 2022. A UK and international tour will follow, taking in cities including Birmingham and Edinburgh.
