The Harlem Chamber Players has announced the anticipated release of its first-ever commercial digital album on Saturday, December 10.

For those of us who’ve only heard her as Bess in Gershwin’s PORGY & BESS at the Met, it was a revelation to hear her lush, velvety voice raise the rafters on the hall, with no warm up.

“Keep The Fame” is a musical triumph, featuring luminescent live instrumentation from Pretty Lights Live Band and Break Science keyboardist Borahm Lee, Harry Styles trumpeter Parris Fleming, and Tauk drummer Isaac Teel.

Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman has announced “Salesman for Everyone” in partnership with Broadway For All, a Tony Award-honored, Manhattan-based national nonprofit that equips young artists and professionals with the programming, community and vision to build a more inclusive and powerful arts industry.

J2 Spotlight Musical Theater Company will return, for their third consecutive season, to Theatre Row. The slate of show will include three productions running for two consecutive weeks each from Thursday, April 13 through Sunday, May 21, 2023.

Jodie Comer will make her highly anticipated Broadway debut in the US premiere of Prima Facie, a new play by Suzie Miller. Prima Facie opens on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the Golden Theatre. Previews begin on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe – once again – invites the community to celebrate the holiday season with “Black Nativity,” an inspirational gospel musical originally penned by poet/playwright Langston Hughes that retells the biblical Nativity story. The music is combined with dance, poetry and narrative to deliver a message of joy, hope and liberation.  

The gala honored musical theater legend Leslie Uggams  with the 2022 Oscar Hammerstein Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theater, which will be presented by Dionne Warwick. Ted Chapin was also honored with The York Theatre Company Founders' Award, presented by his daughters Anika and Zoë Chapin. The Public Theater has announced that Suzan- Lori Parks' PLAYS FOR THE PLAGUE YEAR will take a hiatus from performances due to Covid-19 cases within the company. Performances through Tuesday, November 22 have been canceled.

Performances of Head Over Heels are November 17th, 18th, 19th, & 21st at 7:30pm and November 20th at 2:00 pm at Slippery Rock University's Miller Theater.
