Drury Lane Theatre opens its 2022/2023 season with the celebrated Tony Award-winning musical Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I. Based on 'Anna and the King of Siam' by Margaret Landon,' with music by Richard Rodgers, and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, The King and I was originally choreographed by Jerome Robbins.

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. Charts & Graphics Concert will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Michiko Studios (149 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036). The show starts at 8PM and tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online here. There will also be a Live Stream as well as a Facebook option to watch as well.

Even before patrons of the opening night of HADESTOWN arrived at the Ohio Theater (39 E. State Street in downtown Columbus), the lush red seats were being filled. On top of each seat was a red carnation, thanking attendees for returning to the theater after a long shutdown due to the Covid 19 virus.

The concert commemorates and pays tribute to NYC's Tin Pan Alley, where publishers of zillions of popular songs had their offices. Songwriters associated with Tin Pan Alley included George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and Jerome Kern, among many others.

Two major productions were planned for its 17th season: Tchaikovsky's rarity The Maid of Orleans, an epic based on the life of Joan of Arc, and Leonard Bernstein's glittering comedy, Candide.
