Voting continues for three more weeks for the BWW Cabaret Awards!

Voting for the BroadwayWorld Cabaret Awards is open! The BWW Cabaret Awards honor exemplary performers and productions in New York from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2018. Nominees in all categories excluding Special Event - Solo and Special Event - Multiple needed to have performed all or the majority of their shows (at least two of three shows) during this eligibility period.

What a gay ol' time! Michelle, with the insanely talented Joshua Stephen Kartes on the keys, will give you a night you WONT soon forget! They l'll take your favorite Broadway hits and turn them into new Jazz standards! With very special guests, infamous instagram darling @inappropriatepatti, AKA Jonathan Hoover and The Cher Show and Kinky Boot's own Blaine Krauss!! PEGGY LEE is being celebrated December 15 at 7:00PM at Green Room 42 as the Season Finale of Blake Allen's 'An Evening With...' Series. Called 'an important vehicle for music preservation' (BroadwayWorld), the series is committed to honoring, and educating audiences about, the music of America from the early-mid part of the 20th century by setting these celebrated works with notable contemporary voices and new arrangements.

BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida, Footloose, Dance Captain Dance Attack web series) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday night, 11/29 Broadway Sessions will offer up an Off Broadway Extravaganza, featuring cast members from multiple Off Broadway Shows including The Marvelous Wonderettes, The Hidden Ones, Frankenstein, The Book of Merman, The Office, The Musical Parody and more.

On Sunday January 6th, The Marvelous Wonderettes, currently playing Off-Broadway at Theatre Row, will take its final bow after 567 performances. The final cast includes Kristen Alderson (Emmy Winner, One Life to Live) as Cindy Lou, Michelle Dowdy (Broadway's Hairspray) as Betty Jean, Amy Hillner Larsen (First National and RCCL Hairspray) as Suzy , Maggie McDowell (Broadway's Disaster and Kinky Boots) as Missy, and Amy Toporek in her Off-Bway debut as the 'Wonderstudy'.

This edition celebrates the 15th Anniversary of the series. 

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! THE MUSICAL!, a sidesplitting rock musical comedy sendup of the legendary zombie film, will be live in concert for one night only, Sunday October 28th, 8:30pm, at Don't Tell Mama.

Broadway fans will have the chance to see the stars of their favorite shows perform at 'Broadway at Green's,' running Monday evenings throughout September at Haswell Green's. The series kicks off on Monday, September 3, with ticket prices ranging from $25 - $35. Produced by Upstairs Landing Productions LLC, the series will give audiences the chance to experience solo performances in a more relaxed cabaret setting.

On the Television show 'Lets Make A Deal' you're only a winner if you open one door. At Birdland last night you were a winner no matter what door you opened. On the legendary Jazz Stage it was John Pizzarelli with The Swing 7, arguably the most talented guitarist/vocalist/comic performer on the planet. The door to the new Birdland Theater brought you into Susie Mosher's Lineup. A room full of celebs and lucky New Yorkers got to see an 'insane' guest list of phenomenal performers in her wild, semi structured variety show. Both doors at Birdland led you to superlative entertainment last night but the surprise guests direct from the Broadway Stage of Waitress, Erich Bergen (Jersey Boys, Madame Secretary) and Katharine McPhee ( TV, Smash, Scorpion) made you a winner if you also chose the door to the Birdland Theater.
