Viva La Vie Boheme in a dynamic production of RENT at The Ringwald Theatre! Who Wants Cake? is thrilled to open their 2009/2010 season with the smash hit musical, RENT created by Jonathan Larson. Beginning Friday, August 21st and playing for a six week engagement ending on Monday, September 28th, RENT will play Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights at 8PM with Sunday matinees at 3PM.
Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) concludes its 30th Anniversary mainstage season with the New York premiere of VANITIES, a new musical written by Jack Heifner, featuring music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum, directed by Judith Ivey. Troubled youngster Chloe, a wildflower, is sent to perform community service with the troupe. Chloe's relationship with Famous PEOPLE Players, though difficult at times, shows her that hope can survive and flourish in the most unexpected of places.
