CCBC Academic Theatre Presents THE BALD SOPRANO and NO EXIT, 10/21

Academic Theatre at the Community College of Baltimore County presents an evening of two one-act plays 8 p.m., Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 21-23, 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25 and 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26 in the 'B' Building Theatre at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. Tickets are $8 general admission and $5 seniors, students, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni and available from the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787).

Howie Michael Smith Returns to AVENUE Q, 9/27

Howie Michael Smith - who appeared in AVENUE Q on Broadway from 2006 through 2009 as Princeton/Rod, playing the role over 1,000 times - will resume his role in the Tony Award-winning musical beginning Monday, September 27th at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) in Manhattan.

A VOYAGE OF GROWTH AND DISCOVERY To Be Presented At Redcat 7/12

After the success of the installation first presented at SculptureCenter in Long Island City, and now visible in its definitive West of Rome, Los Angeles incarnation at The Farley Building through August 26th; A Voyage of Growth and Discovery, the feature length film, written and directed by Mike Kelley an Michael Smith, debuts in single-channel format at REDCAT.

Marin Theatre Company's WOODY GUTHRIE'S AMERICAN SONG Extends Through 6/27

Marin Theatre Company has announced an extension of their revival of Woody Guthrie's American Song. The show now plays in Marin Theatre Company's Boyer Theatre through June 27, 2010. Conceived, adapted and directed by Peter Glazer, this musical has been pleasing audiences since its premiere in 1988. It won the Bay Area Critics Circle Award for best musical in its co-production at Berkeley Rep and San Jose Repertory Theatre in 1992.
