The Friars club is back and better than ever. The summer season started out with a sold out series called  “BACK TO BROADWAY, Part 1 ” The event was produced by Friar Jane Shevell. Ms. Shevell ’s productions at  the Friars Club has earned the reputation of “must see”. 

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, producer and actress Lari White Cannon who made her Broadway debut in the Johnny Cash musical review Ring of Fire died early this morning in Nashville after a battle with peritoneal cancer. She was 52 years old.

For dance, the nominees are Lauren Lovette (New York City Ballet), Steven Melendez (New York Theater Ballet), and Ashley Murphy (Dance Theater of Harlem).

A revival of Bus Stop is reportedly bound for Broadway.
