The CM Performing Arts Center has announced their upcoming cast of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 The Musical, running February 25 - March 11 on The Main Stage in The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre.

Last night, the Broadway community was invited to an advance screening of Steven Spielberg's new West Side Story film adaptation. The screening was hosted by members of the cast and creative team including Kevin McCollum, Brian d’Arcy James, Tony Kushner, Jeanine Tesori, Paul Tazewell and Justin Peck. Last night, Disney welcomed guests including Sarah Jessica Parker to the opening reception of “Mickey: The True Original Exhibition,” a 16,000 square-foot immersive pop-up celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse in New York City. 

In a Grease-meets-Romeo & Juliet type of tale, the Tony nominated musical Cry-Baby brings loads of laughs. The Long Island premiere - running through May 12th at The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre at CM Performing Arts Center (CMPAC) - is superbly directed by Patrick Grossman - the Artistic Director of the Oakdale venue - and boasts an extraordinary cast. I've long admired the top notch comedic talent we have here on Long Island and the artists in this production certainly deliver sidesplitting performances.

On Thursday evening, The New York Women's Foundation (NYWF) held its annual Fall Gala in The Grand Ballroom of The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The evening's honorees included Ambassador Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations; Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, creators of the Tony Award-winning musical, FUN HOME, and corporate honoree Citi. TODAY's Hoda Kotb served as the evening's Mistress of Ceremony. The event raised $680,000 which will help to support NYWF's more than 70 women-led, community grantee-partner organizations. Red Touch Media hosted the exclusive jOBS film premiere after party on closing night of the Sundance Film Festival 2013 in Park City, UT on January 25. Cast members Ashton Kutcher, Josh Gad, Ahna O'Reilly and director Joshua Michael Stern all attended the event, which was held at pop-up club Nur Khan Presents for NK. DJ Cash spun and guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and photography by Norman Seeff, who shot the iconic 1984 image of Steve Jobs sitting on the floor with a Mac in his lap.
