On this day in 2016, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical HADESTOWN celebrated its off-Broadway opening at New York Theatre Workshop.

Tomorrow at 6:30 PM ET, Hadestown will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Broadway with a special living room live stream event featuring the show's Tony Award-winning writer, Anaïs Mitchell and acclaimed Broadway cast members Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada tonight, 6:30PM EST.

Broadway actress Cassie Beck (The Rose Tattoo, The Humans) will star in the next segment of the national tour of Heidi Schreck's Tony Award nominated play and Pulitzer Prize finalist What the Constitution Means to Me, directed by Oliver Butler. Beck will begin performances in Charlotte, NC in June 2020, followed by performances in Boston at Huntington Avenue Theatre, Nashville at TPAC and La Jolla, CA at La Jolla Playhouse.

Presented by Center Theatre Group, a?oeWhat the Constitution Means to Mea?? opens tonight at the Mark Taper Forum. Starring Maria Dizzia, written by Heidi Schreck and directed by Oliver Butler, performances will continue through February 28.

Written by Heidi Schreck, directed by Oliver Butler and starring Maria Dizzia, the Tony-nominated play, originally scheduled to run through February 16 and later extended until February 23, will now continue through February 28, 2020. a?oeWhat the Constitution Means to Mea?? will open on Friday, January 17.

Heidi Schreck's Tony Award nominated play and Pulitzer Prize finalist What the Constitution Means to Me, directed by Oliver Butler, kicks off its national tour today, January 12, beginning at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and playing 40 weeks in 22 cities.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that tickets for Heidi Schreck's Tony Award nominated play and Pulitzer Prize finalist What the Constitution Means to Me will go on sale January 3, 2020.  What the Constitution Means to Me will play Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) for a limited 6-week engagement March 4 through April 12, 2020. 

As final casting is being announced, the engagement of playwright Heidi Schreck's 'What the Constitution Means to Me' at Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum is already being extended by a week due to overwhelming early sales. The Tony-nominated play, originally scheduled to run January 12 - February 16, 2020, will now continue until February 23, 2020.

Hadestown, the Tony Award-winning Best New Musical has become the first musical of the 2018-2019 Broadway season to recoup its initial investment of $11.5M.

Tony Award nominee Maria Dizzia will star in the first two stops of the national tour of Heidi Schreck's Tony Award nominated play and Pulitzer Prize finalist What the Constitution Means to Me, directed by Oliver Butler. Apple's CEO Tim Cook recently stopped by HADESTOWN at the Walter Kerr and visited with Tony Award winners André De Shields, Anais Mitchell, Rachel Chavkin, Rachel Hauck; cast members Patrick Page, Reeve Carney, Eva Noblezada and more backstage and posed for photos after the performance.

Today, Sing It Again Records announced that the Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hadestown, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, will be available on CD starting Friday, November 1 and vinyl Black Friday, November 29.

BroadwayWorld has learned that WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME is being recorded today for eventual future release. 

Hadestown announced today on ABC's “Good Morning America” that the show will launch a National Tour beginning in the Fall of 2020. In its first year, the tour will visit more than 30 cities coast to coast, including (alphabetically) Denver; Houston; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Tempe; and Washington, DC; with more to be announced shortly.

The two-time Tony Award-nominated, Pulitzer Prize Finalist, and Obie Award-winning Best New American Play What the Constitution Means to Me has achieved full recoupment of its $2.5 million capitalization with the week ending July 14th, and will deliver a full return of capital to its investors with six weeks remaining in the Broadway engagement.
