Producers Larry Kaye & HOP Theatricals and Van Dean & The Broadway Consortium announced today a general rush ticket policy for Eric Coble's new critically acclaimed American play The Velocity of Autumn, starring Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons and two-time Tony Award winner Stephen Spinella and directed by Molly Smith. A limited number of $29 rush tickets (inclusive of $2 facility fee) will be available for each performance when the Booth Theatre box office (222 West 45 Street) opens for that day's performance(s). Patrons are limited to two tickets per person.

THE VELOCITY OF AUTUMN will begin previews Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Broadway's Booth Theatre for a limited engagement, following a sold-out, critically acclaimed run at Washington DC's Arena Stage (Edgar Dobie, Executive Producer) in the fall of 2013. Ghostlight Records has announced the release of the Original Cast Recording of the new Broadway hit Beautiful - The Carole King Musical. The album, produced by Jason Howland and Steve Sidwell, with Kurt Deutsch serving as Executive Producer, will be recorded on Monday, February 17th and will be available for purchase digitally and in stores this spring. Like the musical, the cast record of Beautiful will feature a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including 'Will You Love Me Tomorrow,' 'One Fine Day,' (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman,' 'On Broadway,' 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling,' and many more.

The Broadway production of A Night With Janis Joplin plays its final performance tonight, Sunday, February 9 at 7PM at the Lyceum Theatre. The show has played 22 preview performances and 141 regular performances since beginning previews on Friday, September 20 and opening on Thursday, October 10. A Night With Janis Joplin will move to a new home in New York City this March.

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new Broadway musical, is celebrating Joplin's birthday with special activities at the theatre and online on Sunday, January 19.At the theatre for both the matinee and evening performances, there will be a special photo booth, supplied by Top Hat Photo Booths, where audience members can write special messages in honor of Joplin's birthday and take photos with the messages. Following the performance the cast will give a special birthday salute to Joplin. For the evening performance only, there will be custom Joplin birthday cupcakes for audience members as they leave the theatre supplied by Sugarush in Red Bank.
