To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the National Theatre presents National Theatre: 50 Years on Stage, bringing together the best British actors for a unique evening of unforgettable performances, broadcast live from London to theatres and cinemas around the world.

Helen Mirren, Benedict Cumberbatch and Christopher Eccleston have joined the starry cast for the National Theatre of Great Britain's 50th anniversary celebration "LIVE FROM THE NATIONAL THEATRE: 50 YEARS ON STAGE," directed by Nicholas Hytner. Experiencing a play from Britain's National Theatre in London is possible thanks to the Live in HD series at The Ridgefield Playhouse, which will broadcast NTL 50 Years on Stage on Sunday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate its 50th anniversary, The National Theatre of Great Britain presents a once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring stars from its early golden period under the leadership of Laurence Olivier at the Old Vic theatre to its now iconic building in the heart of London. The anniversary performance will feature Britain's finest theatrical talent, including renowned writers such as Harold Pinter, Peter Shaffer, Tom Stoppard, Alan Bennett and David Hare, and celebrated actors including Maggie Smith, Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench, Michael Gambon and the rising stars of today.

59E59 Theaters has announced that, following two highly successful, sold out runs in London at the Jermyn Street and Arts Theatres, Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production of Samuel Beckett's radio play ALL THAT FALL, starring Eileen Atkins and Michael Gambon, arrives in November for a strictly limited engagement. Produced by Richard Darbourne Ltd and Jermyn Street Theatre in association with Gene David Kirk, ALL THAT FALL begins performances on Tuesday, November 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 8. Press opening is Tuesday, November 12 at 7 PM.

Jermyn Street Theatre presents THE POTSDAM QUARTET by David Pinner, directed by Anthony Biggs with designer Cherry Truluck. The show runs 29 October - 23 November 2013 with Press Night set for 31 October 7.30pm.

The four victorious allied leaders meet to decide the future of the world. As they discuss the state of Germany, the establishment of a new world order and countering the effects of war, another quartet entertains them with the melodies of Mozart, Haydn, Borodin and Bartok. But as the most powerful men in the world attempt to establish a new harmony, the musicians' relationships are fracturing. In an antechamber between concerts festering antagonisms arise, old resentments are re-enacted and discord triumphs.

Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Rafe Spall star on Broadway in Harold Pinter's Betrayal, directed by ten-time Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols. Betrayal begins performances tonight, October 1 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). Opening night is Sunday, November 3. Betrayal is a strictly limited engagement, running 14 weeks only, through January 5, 2014.

The 67th Edinburgh International Festival draws to a close tonight with the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert gathering approximately 250,000 Edinburgh residents and visitors across the city to share in the annual spectacular performed live by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Pyrovision.

Beckett at the Festival is a season of theatre performances and film showings at the 2013 Edinburgh International Festival 2013 focussing on the work of Samuel Beckett.

The cast of a season of short plays by maverick writer, director and actor Steven Berkoff has been announced. Fresh from her departure from Eastenders as Jean Slater, Gillian Wright will star, with Anthony Barclay, Lucy Hollis, Tom Lincoln and Clive Mendus. The season will present five world premieres and will be co-directed by Berkoff himself and Jermyn Street Theatre Associate Director Max Barton.
