Celebration Theatre announced today its 2015-2016 season of shows, under the artistic direction of Michael Matthews & Michael A. Shepperd.  This is the Celebration's 34th season and the first in its new home at the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave. in Los Angeles. Comments Celebration Theatre's Executive Director Michael C. Kricfalusi 'After wandering the streets of L.A. for two years, all of us at Celebration Theatre are thrilled to have found our new home and even happier to have found it at The Lex, less than 10 blocks from where we used to be!'

CELEBRATION THEATRE presents as part of its New Works Reading Series 'Like Drowning' tonight, March 17 at 7:30pm at the West Hollywood City Chambers, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood. 'Like Drowning' takes place in an upper East Side Manhattan apartment, switching back and forth in time from the early 1990s to present day. The earlier scenes explore the relationship of Richard, a handsome, irresponsible actor in his 40s, and Rodney, a slightly older, attentive, well-off member of a theater's Board of Directors. In the present-day scenes, some 25 years later, an older version of Rodney brings an older version of Richard to his apartment to care for him as he faces his greatest personal challenge.

The 2014 Vibrant Voice Awards will be presented to Wendie Malick and Robert Forster, and there will be special appearances by Sean Hayes and other stars to be announced.

Celebration Theatre has announced a benefit reading of A Kind of Kind, a world premiere play by Miles Brandman, starring two-time Emmy Award nominee Wendie Malick and Academy Award nominee Robert Forster on Monday, November 25 at 8pm at the Atwater Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews, proceeds from the reading will go to support Celebration Theatre.

La Miranda Theatre for the Performing Arts and McCoy Rigby Entertainment present the second production in its 2013-1014 season of shows, the Tony & Pulitzer Prize Award-winning play, RABBIT HOLE, written by David Lindsay-Abaire and directed by Michael Matthews.
