Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts at The Royal Conservatory of Music, today announced the return engagement of cabaret star Meow Meow today, May 5, 2016, at 8 pm, as part of the Quiet Please, There's a Lady On Stage concert series. The singer, who "blends performance art, cabaret, and pop culture into a style that defies labeling," (Preview Magazine), sold out her Koerner Hall debut on February 2, 2013.

Jami Gertz in Association with Homeboy Industries and The Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts are thrilled to present the world premiere of a new play with music, FIGHTING SHADOWS, co-written and performed by 2015 Emmy nominee Richard Cabral ("American Crime"), with musical collaboration by Rocio Mendoza and directed and co-written by Robert Egan. FIGHTING SHADOWS will preview on Friday, April 15 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, April 16 at 7pm and run through Sunday, May 8 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts, 720 Kohler Street in Los Angeles, 90021.

On May 14, Marcus Roberts & The Modern Jazz Generation close out the "Katrina -10 Years On" concert series, dedicated to the spirit of the people who suffered from one of the worst hurricanes in history. In this concert Roberts, famous for his dazzling, virtuosic playing that taps the full range of the jazz piano tradition, unveils The Modern Jazz Generation, an ensemble that features his trio mates - Jason Marsalis on drums and Rodney Jordan on bass - and a number of next generation jazz greats. The musicians are joined by special guest Wycliffe Gordon (tuba), who returns to Koerner Hall after recently appearing with Rene Marie.
