CHRISTMAS CABARET

Fighting the power never tasted so sweet as it does with Hot Brown Honey, a colourful and breathtakingly exciting show from Australia's Briefs Factory, which will take to the stage for Christmas 2017 at HOME in Manchester. The talk of wherever it has played, this adults-only melange of music and dance, which promises to be one of the more explosive shows in Manchester this festive season, plays 12-23 Dec.

Post post-modern showgirl Meow Meow makes a long-awaited return to the city with her camp cabaret show Feline Intimate (6 Dec), featuring songs from 1930s Berlin to 1960s Paris. The following evening, there's another helping of music and cabaret, this time from festival favourites The Tiger Lillies, with their dark and mysterious show A Cold Night in Soho.

The programme is completed with a season of classic movies, comprising the evergreen tear-jerker It's A Wonderful Life, screening from 9 Dec, sparkling musical Meet Me In St Louis (11 & 23 Dec), and who can resist Michael Caine in The Muppet Christmas Carol (17 and 21 Dec).
