The Soraya's intimate Onstage Chamber Music Sessions kicks off its 2022 season on Friday, January 21 with a performance showcasing the talents of current Artist-in-Residence, violinist Etienne Gara and Delirium Musicum, an ensemble known for its fearless interpretations of classical and new music. 

Opera Atelier has announced its visionary film Angel is back by popular demand in time for the holiday season - streaming today, Tuesday, December 7, 2021, and available until Monday, January 3, 2022.

The cornerstone of the Festival will be a spotlight on the Kronos Quartet, who will participate in three events, and world premiere of Gould's Wall, presented in collaboration with Tapestry Opera and Maniac Star.

The song is taken from the forthcoming album Lightship. It is the fourth album from the Norwegian experimental artist, composer, producer and musician and has been created collaboratively with her long-term producing partner Guy Sigsworth (Björk, Madonna, Alanis Morisette). The Louisville Orchestra Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Graham Parker as Interim Executive Director. Mr. Parker comes to Louisville from his recently concluded tenure as President of Decca Records, US, at Universal Music Group.

Twenty artists have been confirmed to perform on Wales Millennium Centre's incredible Donald Gordon Theatre stage in what will be a more intimate edition of the festival this year  - from established international acts to emerging artists spanning multiple genres and styles.

Starting on Tuesday 8 June, Dutch National Ballet will dance five performances of the Beethoven programme, featuring two ballets set to music by the world-famous composer; Hans van Manen's Grosse Fuge and the world premiere of Prometheus by choreographers: Wubkje Kuindersma, Ernst Meisner and Remi Wörtmeyer.  

The Royal Conservatory of Music has announced an addition to the ninth 21C Music Festival, taking place in January and February of 2022. Presented in collaboration with Tapestry Opera and Maniac Star, the world premiere of Gould's Wall will open the festival on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 8pm, with additional performances on January 13, 14, 15, and 16.

Following a year that nobody wants to revisit anytime soon, Artistic Director Peter Boal has optimistically announced the line-up for Pacific Northwest Ballet’s 49th season, running from September 2021 to June 2022.

The film follows the recent premiere of album track “Elyne Road,” arranged by acclaimed composer Nico Muhly.

Toumani further elaborates on the project, “African music has a mystic and classical side, a divinity…it is not only about dance, and people need to know this.”
