Surviving quarantine has forced many to take a variety of measures online to socialize. Surprisingly, it turns out, that even includes naturists (nudists!). More home time has led to more nude time with some naturist organizations reporting an increase in membership through events hosted on virtual platforms. Hollywood-based director/writer/actor Troy Peterson noticed this trend. As a subscriber to naturist ideals himself, he reasoned “If you don't need to put on pants to work from home, then why put on pants to put on a show?”

This triumphant Broadway blockbuster opens Friday, November 15 and runs through Sunday, December 29, 2019 with special early bird and family-friendly performance times, as well as a sensory-friendly performance. Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) announced today that the deadline for submissions has been extended for its seventh annual Frontiers showcase. Applications will now be accepted through midnight, August 31, 2018. The company's innovative program will be held May 6 and 7 during the 2019 Fort Worth Opera Festival (April 26 - May 12). Launched during FWOpera's 2012-2013 season, Frontiers remains one of the few programs world-wide that seeks out unproduced works by the finest up-and-coming composers and librettists from North, South, and Central America, and continues to be acclaimed for the opportunities it provides its chosen artists. Executive Director Richard Russell and Artistic Director Victor DeRenzi have announced that tenor Andrew Surrena will return to Sarasota Opera this season to sing the role of Alfredo in Sarasota Opera's fall production of Giuseppe Verdi's La traviata, opening Today, November 3rd. David Guzman, who was originally scheduled to sing the role, has withdrawn from the production due to illness.
