Imagine a room filled with four of the greatest rising stars of the music industry today. It's hard to think of only four standout artists, but on December 4, 1956 in a small auto shop-turned-recording studio, Sam Phillips, owner of Sun Records, found himself in the company of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. Million Dollar Quartet chronicles this impromptu recording session with four of the hottest artists of the time, taking liberties and dramatizing the one act musical to make a plot of a single night worthy of a Broadway stage.

Pittsburgh CLO presents Disney's NEWSIES for the first time, tonight, July 18, through July 23 at the Benedum Center. Inspired by the Newsboy Strike of 1899 and based on the cult-hit Disney film, NEWSIES tells a tale of strife and triumph with Tony Award-winning music, daring choreography and a touch of New York City grit. A little country twang and some sweet pies are all this short musical comedy needs to charm to a little ol' Pittsburgh crowd. Pump Boys & Dinettes, as the title implies, follows the service guys of L.M. and Jim's Gas Stations and the waitress sisters at the Double Cupp Diner.

If Max Bialystock used to be the king of Broadway, Seth Rudetsky has since taken over the throne. Not only was he juggling the album release of Disaster! on the day we met for this interview in a (noisy from construction) park on the Upper West Side, but at the same time, spearheading a dance remix video to Broadway for Orlando's 'What The World Needs Now Is Love.' 'We are filming a whole video with the ladies who did Beyonce's 'Single Ladies,' Seth explained. 'We are hoping that raises more money and more awareness.'

With bats in hand and led by a headstrong female reporter, the men of the Washington Senators deliver a power-packed, energized dance routine in 'Shoeless Joe' that reflects the charisma and passion displayed throughout the entire show.

Batter up! Just in time for the thick of baseball season comes the muscular musical about baseball super-fan Joe Boyd. Joe is transformed into a star slugger after he makes a deal with the devil and his sexy associate, Lola, for a chance to lead his home team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees.  BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Divas and divos laced in black are strutting across a Pittsburgh stage and bringing the scandalous stories of Chicago's Cook County jail to life...sometimes death. Chicago, the 1975 American musical set during the roaring 20's, is on stage at the Benedum through Sunday, June 26 and is being presented by the CLO for the first time.
