Established at the bequest of Mark Ryder's family in honor of his life's work, this program recognizes individual creative expression by providing financial assistance to choreographers to create new original work.  A fund has been established at the Columbia Foundation to enable monies to be awarded for this purpose in perpetuity. The grant award recipients will be announced at HCAC's Annual Meeting and Grant Awards Ceremony in September 2019.  The minimum grant amount will be $500.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM(Marketwired - October 30, 2015) - Raj Prem, a curator of photographs depicting iconic rock and pop stars of the 60s and 70s, is set to open an art gallery in Doha, Qatar, to showcase his internationally acclaimed exhibitions. As a former music journalist, Prem has made a career from his passion for rock and pop icons of the era. His latest pursuit intends to expand on his success while honoring the icons of music he is passionate about. Howard County Arts Council Announces 2014 Matching Grants

Forty-five arts and cultural organizations will receive $527,619 in matching grants from the Howard County Arts Council for Fiscal Year 2014. The awards were announced at the Arts Council's annual meeting and reception at the Howard County Center for the Arts on September 20, 2013. These matching grants will be used by 20 Howard County organizations; 14 Howard County public schools; and 10 key Baltimore City organizations to support general operations and projects taking place in Howard County, artist residencies, and special projects in the arts.
