The factory is almost open! Producers for Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle, just announced the show will begin performances Tuesday, March 28, 2017 and officially opens Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street).

Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and Neal Street Productions announced today that two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten, Peter and the Starcatcher) will originate the role of Willy Wonka in the Broadway premiere of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY which begins performances in March 2017, at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street).

Broadway's got the golden ticket! Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Langley Park Productions and Neal Street Productions announced that Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY will open its gates on Broadway in the spring of 2017, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien and choreographed by Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Joshua Bergasse. Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY has music by Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award winner Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Grammy and Tony Award winners Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, and a book by Artistic Director of Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum theatre David Greig. Design team, Broadway theater and dates to be announced soon.

Broadway's new smash-hit suspense thriller MISERY, starring two-time Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner Bruce Willis and three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf, has announced a student rush policy for the strictly limited engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W 44th Street).  A limited number of $35 tickets (inclusive of a $2 facility fee) will be available to students 25 years old and younger when the box office opens for that day's performance(s). Photo identification is required.  Patrons are limited to two tickets person.  Tickets are subject to availability.

Sam Mendes' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which opened on June 26th in London's West End, is now playing through May 31, 2014 in the UK, and according to the New York Times, the show will be 'retooled' before moving to Broadway in the 2014-15 season.
