ALL ARTS, the multimedia arts platform launched earlier this year by WNET (parent company of New York's PBS stations THIRTEEN and WLIW21 and operator of NJTV), is pleased to announce the launch of Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw, a new, intimate, music performance and storytelling series created in collaboration with award-winning songwriter Victoria Shaw and Brighton Entertainment. Songwriters Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw puts the spotlight on the songwriters of some of music's biggest hits across pop, rock, and country.

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with Dee Dee Bridgewater with the Theo Croker Quintet, Kevin Eubanks Quartet, Anita Gillette, Ron Carter's Great Big Band, Quartet and Golden Striker Trio, Alan Broadbent Trio, Capathia Jenkins & Louis Rosen, Jay Leonhart, Pasquale Grasso Trio, Ken Peplowski with Special Guest Sinne Eeg, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, and more!

The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) is hosting several special live events this month: the first is Speakeasy, an intimate conversation this Sunday, 8/12 at 6pm with multiple Grammy-winning music star Lenny Kravitz and Sean Ono Lennon. This special show is being taped by PBS, tickets are on sale now ($20 / www.TriadNYC.com).

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented the return of singer/songwriter Victoria Shaw in another "Under The Covers." Victoria's very special guests were country superstars Morgan Evans and Lee Brice, with a surprise performance by Grammy-winning songwriter Mark Hudson. Over the past twelve years, this series of shows have included folks at the top of their musical and professional games, and introduced audiences to newcomers on their way to country and pop superstardom.

HANSON, currently in the middle of a sold out holiday-show tour in Toronto, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, has released the official music video for the title track, 'Finally It's Christmas,' from their popular new Christmas album that features four original tracks and eight updated classics out now on 3CG/S-Curve Records.

The Brass Tacks tackle the stories behind the saxophone's influence on rock 'n' roll music. On Sunday, August 20th at 1:00 pm, the high-energy swing/rock band performs their family-friendly rock 'n' roll history show at Joe's Pub.
