Drag Star Strawberry Fields To Make Her Green Room 42 Debut In STRAWBERRY FIELDS: DEDICATIONS

Strawberry Fields will be making her Green Room 42 debut on August 29th, 2019 in her first ever, all live singing cabaret, Strawberry Fields: Dedications. The winner of The Metropolitan Room's 2015 New York's Next Top Drag Queen competition and top five finalist in season 6 of So You Think You Can Drag, Strawberry plans to take the audience on a magical journey through the show biz experience with a little help from her musical guests, Katelyn Baron and Rebecca Graae, as well as esteemed musical director Mark Hartman. Featuring a selection of show tunes and standards, as well as stories and anecdotes from experiences as a New York City drag queen, Strawberry Fields cannot wait to finally make the leap to her own show.

BWW Review: OKLAHOMA! at North Shore Music Theatre

Oklahoma! is the first musical written by the team of composer Richard Rodgers and librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The musical is based on Lynn Riggs' 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLaine and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancee, Ado Annie.

North Shore Music Theatre Opens 2019 Musical Season With OKLAHOMA!

Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) kicks off the 64th Annual Season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA!, one of the greatest classic musicals of all time, playing for two-weeks only from Tuesday, June 4 thru Sunday, June 16, 2019. OKLAHOMA! is sponsored by Beverly Bank.

AIP Presents its 17th Annual Cabaret Festival

Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 17th Annual Cabaret Festival May 14-19 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook with performances by award-winning artists (MAC, Bistro, Broadway World, Nightlife awards, among others) and participants in the Adela and Larry Elow American Songbook High School Competition (who are noted by *). All performances are FREE to the public.

Composer Ricky Ian Gordon To Receive P.R.I.D.E. Performing Arts Award

The Playthings Theatre, an LGBTQ+ Company in New York City, will be performing its gala concert PlayFresh on Monday, March 11th at 7:00pm. PlayFresh is an evening of new LGBTQ+ music performed by Broadway's finest. Playthings will be honoring Ricky Ian Gordon with The P.R.I.D.E. Performing Arts Award for his contribution to theatre and the LGBTQ+ community.

With his charming wit and "powerful, yet sweet vibrato" (Revue West Michigan), Ben sings the music of Leonard Bernstein, Jeff Buckley, Harry Nilsson, Stephen Sondheim, and many others to create a rich tapestry of dreams sure to ease your mind and melt your heart. Joining Ben and previously announced special guest Erin Mackey will be Marina Kondo, Sari Koppel, and Skylar Okerstrom-Lang.
