Peninsula Players' Winter Play Reading Series Begins 2/2 with GO BACK FOR MURDER

Peninsula Players Theatre will present a reading of 'Go Back for Murder' by Agatha Christie, a thrilling whodunit from the Queen of Crime, at Bjorklunden, 7p.m., Monday, Feb. 2. This play reading is produced with support from and in coordination with Door County Reads and its exploration of 'Ordinary Grace' by William Kent Krueger. Join the Players reading and travel back in time with Carla Le Marchant as she tries to prove her mother's innocence in her father's death. Admission is free.

Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, continues their 2014 season of premieres with Tom Dudzick's MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET, running through June 1. Dudzick is the writer of the beloved comedy 'Over the Tavern', which became a Theatre at the Center hit, and was also previously a long-running commercial success at The Mercury Theater - both under William Pullinsi's direction. Now as Director of MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET, Pullinsi presents the heartfelt and hilarious comedy that follows a supposed visitation by the Virgin Mary to a blue collar working class neighborhood, causing revelations for a family of Polish American Catholics. Chicago Shakespeare Theater's extension of its celebrated 25th Anniversary Season opening production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies, directed by CST Associate Artistic Director Gary Griffin will close today, November 13, 2011, in CST's Courtyard Theater. The production features a company of more than 40 actors and musicians that includes Olivier Award nominees Brent Barrett as Benjamin Stone and Caroline O'Connor as Phyllis Rogers Stone, with Robert Petkoff as Buddy Plummer, Susan Moniz as Sally Durant Plummer and Chicago musical theater favorite Hollis Resnik as Carlotta Campion.
