Classical singer and musical actress Aimee Marcoux, whose true-life story came to the big screen in the acclaimed 2017 Sony release All Saints, will take the stage on Tony Awards Sunday, June 10 at 7pm at The Triad Theater (158 West 72nd Street) to offer Summer with Sondheim, a collection of Sondheim compositions from his beloved Broadway musicals. Marcoux will offer her lively interpretations of such standards as "Being Alive" and "The Ladies Who Lunch" from Company, "Johanna" from Sweeny Todd and the title song from "Anyone Can Whistle".

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announced today the 2018/2019 season, delivering ten months of groundbreaking produced and presented works in dance, music and theater from locally, nationally and internationally renowned artists and companies. The season begins September 21, 2018, marking the third year of programming under the leadership of Artistic Director Paul Crewes and Managing Director Rachel Fine and the sixth for the institution. Michael Nemeroff, Chairman of the Board of The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, begins the second year of his term.

Songwriters Call On Senators To Support The Music Modernization Act During 'Stand With Songwriters' Advocacy Day

Award-winning songwriters will convene on Capitol Hill tomorrow, May 17, to meet with elected officials as part of the annual American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers' (ASCAP) 'Stand with Songwriters' Advocacy Day. They will ask senators to cosponsor the Music Modernization Act, the bipartisan music reform bill that passed unanimously in the U.S. House of Representatives on April 25 and was recently reintroduced in the Senate.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will host its 31st annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Los Angeles. ASCAP will honor the popular 90s R&B group Xscape with the ASCAP Golden Note Awardduring this year's ceremony, and members Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, Tamika Scott and LaTocha Scott will be on hand to accept. The event will also honor ASCAP songwriter and publisher members with awards for the most performed ASCAP songs of the past year on the R&B, hip-hop, rap and gospel charts.
