Theater takes center stage in 2018/2019 as the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents some of the finest work from local, national and international artists featuring the return of For the Record'sLove Actually Live as a full-length, expanded production, the development of the new documentary musical Witness Uganda, National Theatre of Great Britain's landmark production of An Inspector Calls, the return of Hershey Felder in Hershey Felder as Claude Debussy:A Paris Love Story, the powerful solo performance The Bitter Game, and several family-friendly options including PigPen Theatre Company'sThe Old Man and The Old Moon,Trusty Sidekick Theatre Company's Shadow Play and the return of Story Pirates.

Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) is thrilled to announce its upcoming press conference, which will reveal details for its seventh red carpet induction awards ceremony and fundraising gala. 

A red carpet life celebration for film star Tab Hunter will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 6 PM at the AC Gallery in Hollywood, where a series of life-size paintings of Hunter by famed video director Vance Lorenzini will be unveiled for the first time. Hunter's funeral was held in a private ceremony near his home in Montecito and this will mark the first public event to memorialize him. It will be hosted by Hunter's life partner of three decades, Allan Glaser.

DJ, producer, and future house pioneer Don Diablo has delivered his brand-new single 'Survive', featuring UK singer/songwriter Emeli Sandé, and American rap superstar Gucci Mane. 

Natasha Vaynblat puts on a one-night only hybrid standup/ character special. Broken up into four sections, Natasha will switch from standup to characters while accompanied by Eric Gersen on the keys. From delivering jokes about her Russian upbringing to giving advice as a French doula, this show is a wild ride spanning genres.

This Fall, The Iridium will showcase the songwriters and session musicians behind the biggest rock and pop anthems of all-time. Tony Award-winning actress, singer and performer Idina Menzel is set to release her upcoming album, idina: live, on October 5. The two-disc album was recorded live on the final nights of her 2017 World Tour. This 'eye-opening, life-affirming, unmissable' (TIME Magazine) Tony Award-winning play by Simon Stephens comes to Virginia Rep's November Theatre this Fall. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time opens Friday, September 21st, and runs through Sunday, October 14th, with two preview performances on Wednesday, September 19th and Thursday, September 20th. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Mark Haddon.

FOX has renewed interactive music game show BEAT SHAZAM, hosted and executive-produced by Jamie Foxx, for a third season. Foxx will return as host and executive producer for Season Three, along with executive producers Mark Burnett, Jeff Apploff and Barry Poznick. Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx, also will return as deejay.

The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, passed away today, August 16, in her Detroit home after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, according to the Associated Press. She was 76 years old.
