The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera's award-winning series of live high-definition cinema simulcasts, will begin its 16th season with the company premiere of Cherubini's Medea on Saturday, October 22, at 12:55 pm ET.
The world's largest solo theatre festival, United Solo, is back for its thirteenth season with productions from around the globe including drama, dance, multimedia, improv, musical and storytelling. The festival will run from October 4 until November 20 at Theatre Row in the heart of New York City's theatre district.

The Greek National Opera’s 2022-23 season curated by Artistic Director Giorgos Koumendakis will open with a newly commissioned opera, Andrei, by Greek composer Dimitra Trypani. Andrei will premiere in Stavros Niarchos Hall at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens.
Shelley Cooper will bring her award-winning solo work, La Divina: The Last Interview of Maria Callas, to United Solo Theatre Festival on October 8th at 7PM. Ms. Cooper's captivating performance as Callas has had more than a dozen productions in the U.S. and abroad and has won numerous awards including at the Hollywood Fringe (Pick of the Fringe-Hollywood Fringe 2021) and Orlando Fringe (Best Individual Performance in a Drama Orlando Fringe 2021).

Moosie Drier directs the cast of Bill Chott, Richard Horvitz, Kelly Stables, the playwright himself and Carolyn.

It's mostly a beauty of a production with some beastly issues that get in the way. I have seen dozens of productions of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST over the years, but rarely if ever have I seen Belle connect with the title Beast. Usually the two come across as distant cousins at best, not a romantic pairing for the ages. Sometimes the rose has more personality than this duo. But finally--FINALLY!--we have a Belle and Beast who connect with the Tarpon Arts' latest production of this classic musical (music by Alan Menken; lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice; and a book by Linda Woolverton, although her name was misspelled on the front cover of the program).

The Dallas Opera has named soprano Joyce El-Khoury as the 2022 “Maria Callas Debut Artist of the Year” for her triumphant Dallas Opera debut as Leïla in Bizet's The Pearl Fishers.
Drury Lane Theatre announces the cast for its production of the empowering story of love and friendship, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller. Due to demand, Steel Magnolias has been extended and now runs June 10 – August 7, 2022, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m.
