Last night, the five-time Olivier Award® nominated epic play, The Lehman Trilogy, celebrated its triumphant Opening Night at the Nederlander Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there for the star-studded red carpet!

Good news! Broadway's wonderful Wicked has made its highly anticipated return to the stage of the Gershwin Theatre. Composer Stephen Schwartz was in attendance at tonight's performance and joined the company for opening night bows, as was original Glinda, Kristin Chenoweth, who made a pre-show speech. This by-invitation-only benefit, emceed by Emmy-winning co-hosts of the 4th Hour of The Today Show Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, raised $1.26 million -- enough to provide 196,000 meals for New York's homebound elderly. Nederlander Alliances, LLC and Pittsburgh CLO, co-producers and founding partners of The National High School Musical Theater Awards, presented the first annual Jimmy Awards in a ceremony held last night at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, New York University. The Jimmy Award is named in honor of legendary Broadway theater owner and producer James M. Nederlander. The award features an illustration of James M. Nederlander drawn by world renowned artist Al Hirschfeld.
