Margaret Williams Asprey Pens Autobiography A TRUE NUCLEAR FAMILY

Author Margaret Williams Asprey comes from a family of chemists, scientists and engineers. It came as little surprise to her and her family then, when she became a nuclear engineer. She details her experiences as a woman in the science field in her autobiography, 'A True Nuclear Family' (published by Trafford Publishing).'

The New Jersey City University Caroline L. Guarini Department of Music, Dance and Theatre will present 'Smokey Joe's Cafe,' Friday, March 20 through Sunday, March 22 and Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, in Margaret Williams Theatre of Hepburn Hall, on the University campus at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City.

Jon Faddis Set for SIX DECADES OF JAZZ Concert at NJCU, 9/20

Acclaimed trumpeter Jon Faddis will perform as a special guest with the NJCU Alumni Jazz Big Band in Six Decades of Jazz at NJCU, a free concert series launched in celebration of the inauguration of Dr. Sue Henderson as New Jersey City University's 12thpresident. The concert will take place at the J. Owen Grundy Pier, Exchange Place in Jersey City on Friday, September 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Saks Will Host 2013 Winter Ball Women of Distinction Announcement Event

Saks Fifth Avenue will present a cocktail event to formally announce the 2013 honorees for the 2013 Winter Ball as part of their ongoing support of the CCFA. The event will include award winning ABC 13 journalist Melanie Lawson, and will present each of the honorees and Ambassadors to over 150 guests. The Women of Distinction and Ambassador for the Crohn's & Colitis Winter Ball 2013 are honored for making a difference in the Houston community through their charity work. Over the past 25 years, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) honored more than 250 of Houston's most talented and dedicated women at the annual Winter Ball, which is a primary fundraiser for the foundation.
