Factory Presents the World Premiere of YOU CAN'T GET THERE FROM HERE

Ergo Arts Theatre Announces 2nd Annual ERGO PINK FEST

Ergo Pink Fest is a 4-day theatre festival in Toronto (March 28-31, 2019), conceived and hosted by Ergo Arts Theatre (EAT) that gives voice to female and non-binary identified playwrights, providing them a unique platform to develop and showcase their work. The festival, being held at the Small World Music Centre, 180 Shaw Street, brings together award-winning playwrights and dramaturges Beverley Cooper, Marcia Johnson, Anita La Selva, Paula Wing and Elyne Quan to nurture the development of eight new plays.

Blyth Festival Extends THE NEW CANADIAN CURLING CLUB

The wildly popular premiere production of The New Canadian Curling Club, the story of unlikely group of would-be athletes who face off against local prejudice to become a true team, has been extended for an additional five shows, after a run of sold-out shows and waiting lists for tickets.

1837: THE FARMERS' REVOLT Opens Next Month at Blyth Festival

The stories surrounding the rebellion that helped build the very Canada we know today culminate in 1837: The Farmers' Revolt, a great Canadian mythology wrapped in comedy, music, magic, and action that opens at the Blyth Festival on Aug. 1.

Factory And Thousand Islands Playhouse Present PRAIRIE NURSE

Factory Theatre concludes another successful season under the leadership of Artistic Director Nina Lee Aquino and Managing Director Jonathan Heppner with Marie Beath Badian's PRAIRIE NURSE, a farcical account of real-life events, directed by Sue Miner in the Mainspace April 21 - May 13, 2018.  This co-production with Thousand Islands Playhouse will run in Gananoque this summer.

Ergo Arts Theatre Launches Its First 'Ergo Pink Fest'

Ergo Pink Fest is a 3-day theatre festival in Toronto (March 23-25, 2018), conceived and hosted by Ergo Arts Theatre (EAT) that gives voice to female and non-binary identified playwrights, providing them a unique platform to showcase their work.  The festival, being held at the Small World Music Centre, 180 Shaw Street, brings together director Diana Leblanc, winner of Governor General's Award for Lifetime Achievement; award-winning playwrights and dramaturges Beverley Cooper and Marcia Johnson; and actors like The Shaw Festival's Patrick Galligan, and Laura Schutt, past member of Stratford Festival and star of the Mirvish Production The Railway Children, to nurture the development of seven new plays.

3rd FireWorks Festival Kicks Off Today at Alumnae Theatre

After last year's explosive success, FireWorks is back with three original, full-length plays developed at Alumnae Theatre: Divine Wrecks by Chloe Whitehorn, Cottage Radio by Taylor Marie Graham, and Radical by Charles Hayter. A festival of creativity running today, November 4-22, FireWorks will also feature Behind the Curtain post-show talkbacks with the playwrights, directors and design teams, as well as a Playwrights' Intensive with Marcia Johnson.
