Vanessa Hudgens appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss her role in the new tick, tick...BOOM! film adaption. During the interview, she discussed working with Lin Manuel Miranda and her love of Jonathan Larson. The interview also included a new clip of Andrew Garfield and Hudgens performing 'Therapy' in the film.

Newport Classical Announces Spring Chamber Series Concerts From January Through May 2022

Continuing its new commitment to ongoing year-round programming, Newport Classical, which recently changed its name from Newport Music Festival, announces its spring Chamber Series concerts, running from January through May 2022 at the organization's new home venue, the Recital Hall at Emmanuel Church (42 Dearborn St.).

BWW Review: TICK, TICK... BOOM! Drags, But Is Effective

Written by Jonathan Larson, the theater composer and lyricist made infamous with RENT, the film adaptation of TICK, TICK… BOOM! is sure to garner a lot of attention. The stage version is a rollicking, urgent three-person chamber musical that flies by in a tight 90 minutes. The film is expanded to 115 minutes and suffers a bit under the weight of that bloat. The emotional peaks and valleys all work, but there are moments where the plot drags.

Kyle Scatliffe Will Return to HAMILTON Beginning Tonight

BroadwayWorld has learned that Kyle Scatliffe will return to the Broadway production of Hamilton tonight, November 16! Scatliffe will take on the role of Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, replacing James Monroe Iglehart who played his final performance on November 14.

HAMILTON Tickets Go on Sale at DPAC December 2nd

Producer Jeffrey Seller and DPAC announce today that tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public on December 2 at 10:00 AM.  Tickets will be available for performances May 17 – June 5, 2022, as part of WRAL's Greatest Hits of Broadway.

San Francisco Conservatory Of Music Announces Collaboration With Aquila Theatre

At inauguration events for its new, 12-story, $200 million Ute and William K. Jr., Bowes Center for Performing Arts in the city's Civic Center, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music announced today a new collaboration with Aquila Theatre to workshop and present a special production of the company's new adaptation of The Great Gatsby featuring music composed by students from the SFCM Technology and Applied Composition program and recorded by those studying Chamber Music and Roots, Jazz, and American Music.
