Producers announced today that Academy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning actress, Ellen Burstyn, Tony Award-winner Elizabeth Ashley, Maulik Pancholy ('30 Rock'), Raviv Ullman (Disney's 'Phil of the Future'), Jennifer Lim (Chinglish), and Maggie Lacey (Dividing the Estate) have joined the cast of the New York City premiere of Stan Zimmerman's Right Before I Go.

Signature Theatre presents Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Obie Award-winner Mark Brokaw. This is the first NYC production of this play since its debut in 2000, when The New York Times' Ben Brantley called the play 'written in fire,' and wrote that 'plays of this ilk automatically raise the body -- and mind -- temperature of New York theatre.'
Westport Country Playhouse Announces Comedy THE SUPPORTING CAST

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy, "The Supporting Cast" by George Furth, on Monday, February 6, at 7 p.m. The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.

Primary Stages hosted its 2016 Gala celebrating the Horton Foote Centennial last night, October 17, 2016 at 6:30 pm at 583 Park Avenue. The even twas chaired by CharLes Davis, HAllie Foote, David Richenthal and Michael Wilson, and featured performances and tributes by Elizabeth Ashley, Harriet Harris, Jayne Houdyshell, Estelle Parsons (pictured, left) and Molly Ringwald. The plays, both directed by Arin Arbus, Associate Artistic Director of Theatre for a New Audience, feature Maggie Lacey as Nora in A Doll's House and as Laura in The Father and John Douglas Thompson as Thorwald in A Doll's House and the Captain in The Father.
Official: Oscar Isaac to Play Title Role of Theatre for a New Audience's HAMLET in 2017

Theatre for a New Audience announces that as part of its 2016-2017 season at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, Golden Globe Award winner Oscar Isaac will play the title role in Hamlet staged by Sam Gold. Oscar Isaac and Sam Gold last worked together on Zoe Kazan's We Live Here in 2011.Hamlet is their first collaboration on Shakespeare and their first production with Theatre for a New Audience. Hamlet will begin previews on June 4, 2017 for an opening June 22 and run through July 30.

Roundabout Theatre Company presented its annual 2015 Spring Gala 'There is Nothing Like a Dame' last night, March 2, 2015 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening was a celebration of Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Helen Mirren, who was presented with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. Signature Theatre's production of BIG LOVE by Charles Mee, directed by Tina Landau, began on February 5, 2015. The production runs through March 15, 2015, and opened last night, February 23, in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
