Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) announced today Saturday Night Strings, a special post-show concert series following select Saturday night performances of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. The concerts are free for all ticketholders for that evening's performance.

PRIMARY STAGES presents the World Premiere of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, which opened last night at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014) on January 31, 2018. A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ will play a limited run through March 4, 2018.

Folger Theatre continues its 2017/18 season with The Way of the World, a new comedy freely adapted from the classic play by William Congreve. Written and directed by renowned author Theresa Rebeck (Mauritus and Seminar and Broadway; creator and head writer of TV's Smash), the production will star Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen (Present Laughter, You Can't Take It With You, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike on Broadway).

So Long Boulder City, a new comedy co-written and starring Jimmy Fowlie, opened last night at Subculture Theatre (45 Bleecker Street, Downstairs). Primary Stages has announced that tickets are on sale today for the final two productions of their 2017/18 season: the World Premiere of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse; and FEEDING THE DRAGON, written and performed by Sharon Washington and directed by Maria Mileaf, and presented in a co-production with Hartford Stage.

The New Group presents the world premiere of Seth Zvi Rosenfeld's Downtown Race Riot, launching the company's 2017-2018 Season. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Cristian DeMeo, David Levi, Moise Morancy, Josh Pais, Sadie Scott, Chlo Sevigny and Daniel Sovich. A limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 23 at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street).
