BalletMet Columbus has announced that renowned choreographer Edwaard Liang will become its new Artistic Director effective July 2013.

Tom Gold Dance will present two evenings of dance with a program that will feature the World Premiere of La Plage with music by John Zorn, also included on the program will be Faure Fantasy with music by Gabrielle Faure; Gershwin Preludes, music by George Gershwin; and Mad about the Boy with music by Ivor Novello and Noel Coward, all with choreography by Tom Gold.

Amas Musical Theatre will present three performances of 'Asking For It', an autobiographical play written and performed by Broadway veteran Joanna Rush, directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett. Three performances will take place tonight, February 11th at 4:00pm, and Tuesday, February 12th at 3:00pm and 6:00pm at The Players Loft, 115 MacDougal Street (Third Floor).

Today, Donna Moore's surprise Off-Broadway hit, Cougar the Musical, will celebrate its 100th performance. Directed and choreography by Tony Award Nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett. Media At Large Productions has announced that it will present a unique revival of Tennessee Williams' IN THE BAR OF A TOKYO HOTEL. The play will run off-Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) with previews beginning tonight, October 13th and continue until Sunday, October 28th. The production will have it's official opening on Wednesday, October 17th at 8PM. This distinctive revival, co-directed by Shashi Balooja and Maria Torres will be the first to incorporate live streaming video and dance. Maria Torres will also choreograph.

In Cougar the Musical, book writer and lyricist Donna Moore humorously embraces the older woman-younger man dating phenomenon with the declaration that "inside the word C-O-U-R-A-G-E is Cougar," a notion that goes down as easily as the "Cougartini," the vodka and pomegranate juice cocktail the audience is served before the show. Thankfully, you don't have to be tipsy to enjoy this whimsical social commentary and musical tribute to older women and the men who love them-or who at least want to bed them.

Emilanda Musique presents: LOVE SONGS - Scenes from a Musical by Steven Cagan Starring Ashley Kate Adams, Kevin Spirtas, Debbie Gravitte, Ken Clark, Fleur Phillips and Bryce Ryness. The concert event continues August 29 and 30 at 8pm at Feinstein's, with music direction by Gerald Sternbach and direction by Lynne Taylor-Corbett.
