BEDROOM FARCE Begins Tonight at Westport Country Playhouse

Westport Country Playhouse will reunite audience favorites---playwright Alan Ayckbourn and director John Tillinger---and an ensemble of popular actors from prior Ayckbourn works at the Playhouse---in the comedy, 'Bedroom Farce,' playing tonight, August 25, through September 13. 'Bedroom Farce' received five Tony Award nominations, including Best Play, during its 1979 Broadway run.

AN INTOLERANT VAUDEVILLE Set for UNFringed Tonight

The UNFringed Festival and The Secret Theatre are pleased to present AN INTOLERANT VAUDEVILLE, conceived by Sam Viverito, written by Wendy Biller, Chris Hawthorne and Sam Viverito, with music by Ronnie Lawson and lyrics by Ronnie Lawson, Wendy Biller and Chris Hawthorne. Select FringeNYC Shows Moved to SoHo Playhouse

After a week of air-conditioning problems at The Lynn Redgrave Theater that caused some performances to be canceled and others to be performed with only work lights, FringeNYC has moved 8 of its shows to SoHo Playhouse.

Based on the novel by Jessica Francis Kane, THE REPORT is adapted by Martin Casella, author of The Irish Curse which earned the Outstanding Playwriting Award in the 2005 FringeNYC and went on to a highly acclaimed Off-Broadway run. The director is Alan Muraoka, whose credits include FALSETTOLAND (NAATCO), KARAOKE STORIES and "Sesame Street."

William Hugel Double-Bill MEDUSA and THE ODDITY Set for TNC's Dream Up Festival, 8/31-9/10

In 'Medusa' and 'The Oddity' (medusaandtheoddity.wordpress.com), playwright William Hugel takes an impressionistic look at the stigma of mental illness and the declining power of women in society. The plays, directed by Chad Chenail, will have their world premieres August 31 to September 10 in Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival 2015.

DIVINE/INTERVENTION to Examine Dual Life of Drag Icon, Beginning 8/16 at FringeNYC

After a July premiere in Philadelphia, sbgProductions & Faux Real Entertainment will present the New York Premiere of DIVINE/INTERVENTION as part of the New York International Fringe Festival. This new play by E. Dale Smith based on an original concept by Mimi Imfurst (RuPaul's Drag Race) with direction by Braden Chapman (aka Imfurst), will run August 16 - 29 at The Lynn Redgrave Theater.

STALKER: THE MUSICAL Set for New York Fringe Festival

Brian Ogilvie  (Gigi, Mary Poppins) stars in Stalker: The Musical, a satirical new show, that will run August 14 - 26 as a part of the New York Fringe Festival. The production will be the only Australian entry accepted into the festival, which features over 150 shows. Set in a dystopian world where love has been eradicated and lust is celebrated, Stalker: the Musical is a dark comedy that follows the story of Jay Cloudstreet, who finds himself unusually and illegally drawn to one particular girl.
