Back at the theater where he broke out with 'Sleepwalk With Me', the actor and stand-up says thank God for jokes.

The Actors Fund has announced that, effective immediately, DKC/O&M will oversee public relations for the nonprofit organization.

It was announced today by The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, and The Dorothy Loudon Foundation, Broadway newcomer Nicholas Barasch, currently appearing in the Broadway revival of She Loves Me at Studio 54, will be honored with the 8th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award at the 72nd Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony set for Monday evening, May 23, 2016 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Circle in the Square Theatre (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Musical, Fun Home.  The 2016 Theatre World winners will be announced shortly.

Dixon Place's new commission SPERMHOOD, will open on Friday, May 13th at 7:30 pm. Based on his Amazon Kindle bestseller, Spermhood: Diary of a Donor, writer and performer Mike Albo, returns to Dixon Place with his hilarious account of the year he spent donating sperm for his friends.

Ten Chimneys Foundation has announced Jason Alexander will serve as the Master Teacher for the 2016 Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program, a national program to serve the future of American theatre.

Among this year's nominees for Outstanding Musical Production by a Large Theater are WAITRESS and NATASHA, PIERRE, AND THE  GREAT COMET OF 1812, both at American Repertory Theatre. Tony winner Jessie Mueller and Denee Benton also each received nods for their respective performances.

The Lion, the highly acclaimed, Drama Desk Award-winning musical written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, is searching for a new star, producer Eva Price announced today. Scheuer, who has been performing the piece in various productions since 2014, will play his final performance in his autobiographical musical on February 19, 2017 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, CA. Due to popular demand, The Lion will continue its tour across America, and the search is underway for a new star.

James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director of York Theater Company has announced that as part of its Developmental Reading Series, it will present Erik Ransom's 'More Than All the World' an epic musical inspired by Christopher Marlowe's 'Edward II' directed by Rachel Klein ('Around the World in 80 Days', 'The Anthem') with music direction and arrangements by Andy Peterson ('Atomic'). The reading will take place on March 15th at 2PM.

Meet & Greet, a comedy by Stan Zimmerman (The Golden Girls, Roseanne, Gilmore Girls) & Christian McLaughlin(Married...with Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, Desperate Housewives), will receive industry readings in New York on Thursday, March 3rd. The readings will be held at 11am & 4pm and are by invitation only.

On the heels of a heavenly opening week and rave reviews, MIKE BIRBIGLIA: THANK GOD FOR JOKES will extend through May 29, 2016 at the Lynn Redgrave Theater (45 Bleecker Street). The latest one-man show written and performed by Mike Birbiglia and directed by Seth Barrish will run for an additional 3 months with 7 performances per week (Weds-Sun). 

WHATS NEW PUSSYCAT? THE SOUNDTRACK OF AN ERA the popular Michael Leeds/Kevin Black musical compendium of the music of the 1960s will return to Stage Door Theatre beginning tonight, February 19th, and run through March 27th.
