Just one week until the star-studded reading of RIGHT YOU ARE (IF YOU THINK YOU ARE) by Luigi Pirandello. Featuring Brian Murray, Laura Esterman, Lynn Cohen, Reg Rogers, Angela Pietropinto, Zoe Anastassiou, Sam Tsoutsouvas, Joel Bernstein and Kate Grimes, the reading is adapted and directed by John Martello. It will take place next Monday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cherry Lane Theatre.

Written and performed by Christine Renee Miler, Such Nice Shoes follows a private yoga teacher and hopeful actress-to-be on a typical day from hell. Filled to the brim with characters who are as vibrant as they are believable Such Nice Shoes starts off like any New York City day: with a commute.

La MaMa begins its 55th season of innovative works from around the world - 70 productions in all - with its 2016 Puppet Series featuring a variety of fully-staged productions, a puppet slam, a workshop for kids and conversations with leading artists in the realm of puppetry from September 24 to November 6, occupying La MaMa's numerous stages in the East Village.

RIGHT YOU ARE (IF YOU THINK YOU ARE)  by Luigi Pirandello will receive a staged reading adapted and directed by John Martello on Monday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. at the Cherry Lane Theatre (39 Commerce Street) featuring a first-rate cast.

Ghostlight Ensemble will come out swinging in its inaugural season. Literally.

SIX CHARACTERS - a new puppet and multi-media work created by the renowned writer-director Theodora Skipitares, and inspired by Luigi Pirandello's classic play SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR - will be given its world premiere production this spring, presented by La MaMa in association with Skysaver Productions at theEllen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.), with performances now to April 16. Press opening is April 3. SIX CHARACTERS is directed, designed and adapted by Theodora Skipitares and marks a milestone as the 25th play she's created in 30 years on stage. Kairos Italy Theater (KIT), the preeminent Italian theater company in New York, will present the 4th annual IN SCENA! ITALIAN THEATER FESTIVAL NY. This 15-day festival will offer 5 fully-staged productions from Italy, among other events and activities. In Search of Mrs. Pirandello is a brilliant play by a young Montreal writer, Michaela Di Cesare. It first premiered at the 2015 Montreal Fringe Festival and has since become even more polished.

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre, presents two free, staged readings this fall: Are You Now or Have You Ever Been by Eric Bentley, directed by Apollo Dukakis, on Wednesday, November 11 at 7 pm; and, on Monday, November 16 at 7PM, in partnership with East West Players, The Recognition of Shakuntala by Kalidasa, translated by W. J. Johnson, directed by Jonathan Munoz-Proulx. Both readings are performed as part of Words Within, A Noise Within's ongoing series of free play readings by resident artists. A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, presents Arthur Miller's classic All My Sons, as part of the 2015-2016 BREAKING AND ENTERING season, directed by Geoff Elliott, beginning October 11 and playing through November 21, 2015 (opens on October 17). Miller was born on October 17, 1915 (this production opens on the actual day and date of the centennial of Miller's birth).
