Kairos Italy Theater (KIT), New York's preeminent Italian Theater Company presents the World Premiere of AlieNation, three vital stage works that explore themes of perception, alienation and integration and their consequences in different social and geographical contexts.

The three plays, directed by Laura Caparrotti, will be presented in repertory on alternate dates. They include Enrico IV by Luigi Pirandello and adapted by Laura Caparrotti and Rocco Sisto (Broadway's The King and I) and a double-bill of new one-acts: A Story of Love and Soccer by Michele Santeramo and The Journey I Never Made by Paolo Bignami.

Enrico IV, the Pirandello classic, translated by Gloria Pastorino, examines madness versus the mask that society forces people to wear. King Henry, played by Sisto, speaks directly to his audience - who may just be crazier than he is.

A Story of Love and Soccer, translated by Peter Speedwell, is set in a Southern Italy village where a group of immigrants compete in the first-ever clandestine soccer world championship to determine who will seize control of the city. Featuring Eric Gravez and Dave Johnson.

The Journey I Never Made, translated by Carlotta Brentan, focuses on two women, from very different cultures/times, who meet in a mysterious station where all trains have been cancelled. Despite their suspicions, they mirror one another and slowly begin a dialogue. Featuring Carlotta Brentan & Paloma Pilar.

AlieNation is produced by Kairos Italy Theater. The Lighting Designer is Heajin Han. The Set Design is by Sarah Edkins. Costumes are designed by GV Studio. The stage manager is Lindsey Hurley.

Tickets ($20, $15 students/seniors) can be purchased online at Kitheater.com or by calling Ovation Tix at 866-811-4111. Performs Tues-Sun (see website for exact times of each). Cherry Lane Studio is located at 38 Commerce Street, NYC.
