Theaterlab presents the return engagement of the critically acclaimed solo show Such Nice Shoes, written and performed by Christine Renee Miller and directed by Andrea Dantas April 6 through 8, 2017.

Such Nice Shoes follows a private yoga teacher and hopeful actress-to-be on a typical day from hell. Filled to the brim with characters who are as vibrant as they are believable the show starts off like any New York City day: with a commute.

Like everyone else on the subway, the heroine in Such Nice Shoes just tries to make a living. But this is New York City. Over the course of the day we see our protagonist bomb an audition, run late for appointments with rich clients because of MTA delays, and receive news from her doctor that she may have breast cancer. At the end of this day from hell Christine is faced with a daunting question: Is the hustle for tomorrow worth anything if you can't survive today?

Such Nice Shoes was first produced as part of Theaterlab's 2016 Fall In Love with Solo season. After a sold-out run, Such Nice Shoes returns for three encore performances. Stagebuddy.com raved "[Christine] Miller's performance is astounding" while Theatre Is Easy hailed it as "hilarious and heart- wrenching".

Such Nice Shoes features Christine Renee Miller ("Sister, Sister," "Moesha," "Party of Five"). Such Nice Shoes is written by Christine Renee Miller and directed by Andrea Dantas with lighting design by Kia Rogers and projection design by Lianne Arnold. Gahlia Eden is the stage manager.
