Nominations for this year's 41 awards were announced on 20 June across the country. Excitement is building for the announcement of the 2016 winners on Monday 25 July.

The cast for The Production Company's new staging of the Broadway whodunnit, Curtains was announced today. Ken Mackenzie-Forbes, Artistic Director said 'Colin Lane, John Wood and Nicki Wendt are joining Simon Gleeson, Alex Rathgeber, Lucy Maunder, Melissa Langton and Alinta Chidzey in this Kander & Ebb murder mystery musical comedy. For this hilarious detective thriller we have cast artists with the personality and skill to create Rupert Holmes' colourful backstage characters. It's perfect fodder for a musical unlike any you've ever witnessed before, rightfully making its return to Sydney after touring the nation, to shock and shine at the Sydney Opera House. We've had a few cast changes since the Australian premiere at Hayes Theatre - don't worry they're all still alive, most of them just bailed to become Queens of a new musical - and the latest cast have really sensationalised the sass, camped it up like Christmas and made the vocals so very! If you missed it last time, it's a must-see moxie-fest. If you did catch it last time, then you definitely have to get back and see how it takes on the big stage with new choreography, design and drama!

HEATHERS – THE MUSICAL blends the spirit of the dark and disturbed cult movie with fabulous music and an amazing Australian cast resulting in a must see show. Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy's (Book, Music and Lyrics) adaptation has been bought to the Sydney stage by theatre favourite Trevor Ashley in his directorial debut.

Tonight, the countdown to the 2015 HELPMANN AWARDS began with the announcement of the 2015 HELPMANN AWARDS Nominees.

This is the moment! Producers John Frost and Opera Australia Artistic Director Lyndon Terracini today announced the cast for the Australian premiere of the reimagined production of the acclaimed musical thriller Jekyll & Hyde, which will play from 8 December, 2015 at the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, followed by a season from 6 March, 2016 at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney.

The one and only Trevor Ashley brings the Australian Premiere of HEATHERS THE MUSICAL, a darkly, hilarious comedy to Hayes Theatre Co. from 16 July. HEATHERS THE MUSICAL is based on the 1988 cult film Heathers that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater. 

The Program Launch for the second half of 2015 shows that the Independent Music Theatre team comprising Luckiest Productions (David Campbell, Lisa Campbell and Richard Carroll), Neglected Musicals (Michelle Guthrie), and Neil Gooding Productions, the driving force behind Hayes Theatre Company, have no intention of slowing down are staying true to their vision to provide a permanent home for small-scale musical theatre and cabaret.
