Powerhouse Cast Tapped for Shaw Festival's DANCING AT LUGHNASA

Krista Jackson, former Shaw Festival intern director and Zone 41 Theatre's artistic director, returns to direct Brian Friel's award-winning masterpiece Dancing at Lughnasa. Beginning previews on May 14 at the Royal George Theatre, this production features a quintet of fiercely talented Shaw Festival ensemble members - Fiona Byrne, Diana Donnelly, Claire Jullien, Sarena Parmar (in her Festival debut) and Tara Rosling - as the formidable Mundy sisters.

BWW Review: ALL MY SONS at the Stratford Festival is Memorable and Moving

A memorable and moving production of Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS opened at Stratford Festival's Tom Patterson Theatre on Wednesday evening. It is the story of a family trying to live a post-WWII American Dream, yet unwilling to acknowledge what had to be sacrificed in order to achieve it. The entire cast brings nuanced performances to complex roles-each character relatable, and their decisions debatable. It allowed for a lot of reflection on the imperfections of humanity as this writer left the theatre and I suspect many other audience member felt the same way.

LADY WINDERMERE'S FAN Begins Performances at Shaw Festival

Wilde's early play has the wit of his later comedies, but also probes the complexities and darker desires of the human heart. Lady Windermere (Marla McLean), a young woman recently married into the aristocracy, is preparing for her birthday party. Although deeply in love with her husband Lord Windermere (Martin Happer), she is troubled by his relationship with the mysterious Mrs. Erlynne (Tara Rosling) and vulnerable to the advances of the charismatic Lord Darlington (Gray Powell). Stratford Shakespeare Festival Announces Additional Casting in Plummer, Kennedy & Therriault Led 2010 Productions

Toronto's The Stratford Shakespeare Festival has revealed revealed additional casting for its 2010 season. The stars include Christopher Plummer, Chilina Kennedy, Juan Chioran, Michael Therriault and Geraint Wyn Davies for the Festival's productions of The Tempest, Evita, Kiss Me Kate, Peter Pan and Do Not Go Gentle. Nikki M. James, who was previously set to star alongside Plummer has withdrawn from the festival due to 'personal reasons.'
