The Fred Ebb Foundation in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company presents the ninth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, is presented by Joel Grey tonight, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

Six diverse theatre companies are joining forces to offer the Holiday Theatre Passport, a unique and festive incentive for Chicago theatergoers to explore the city's many alternative holiday theatre offerings. Guests who attend four different productions will receive a free ticket from each theatre to one of their 2014 productions. Guests who attend all six productions will be entered into a drawing for one of five season subscriptions, consisting of memberships or ticket packages to the participating theatres. The Passport also includes discounts to select productions.

The musical theatre treasure CABARET kicks off the Marriott Theatre's 2014 season with previews January 15, opening January 22 and running through March 16 at 10 Marriott Drive, Lincolnshire. CABARET is Kander and Ebb's legendary musical about English cabaret performer Sally Bowles, American writer Clifford Bradshaw, and the decadence of 1929 Berlin.
