Absinthe, A Broadway Cabaret, LLC, has announced its Nashville premiere performance in The Hermitage Hotel's Grand Ballroom tonight, November 15, 2013 at 8:00pm. Doors open at 7:30. Headlining is Liza Minnelli's accompanist, musical director and protege, Johnny Rodgers, also known as, The Ambassador of American Music, and local favorite Stephanie Adlington, star of Always Patsy Cline.

Al Hirschfeld, whose legendary quill pen captured virtually every well-known performing artist of the 20th century, will be celebrated by Henri Bendel. Guests are invited to the opening of this 'Hirschfeld Spectacular,' where all will enjoy a first-of-its-kind installation. Henri Bendel has worked hand-in-hand with Hirschfeld's exclusive gallery, the Margo Feiden Galleries Ltd., New York, to create a truly unique presentation of the late illustrator's work.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra will perform its annual "Holiday Pops" concert December 13-15 (Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.) at historic Music Hall under the direction of "Mr. Christmas," Pops Conductor John Morris Russell. Multiplatinum-selling vocalist and Broadway veteran Ann Hampton Callaway returns to the Pops as guest artist, performing traditional holiday favorites and up-and-coming classics such as "My Favorites Things," "I Wonder as I Wander," and "Somewhere in my Memory" (from John Williams' Home Alone). The rich Pops orchestration, along with the May Festival Youth Chorus, Winton Woods High School Varsity Ensemble and the ever-popular cloggers from the Studio for Dance of Cincinnati, give life to these and other familiar tunes in this highly-entertaining family tradition.

Friday, November 15th, The Absinthe Cabaret will have their first performance in the Grand Ballroom of The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Headlining the performance will be Johnny Rodgers, also called The Ambassador of American Music, and local favorite Stephanie Adlington.

Now in its 16th season, Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook will continue to expand its scope celebrating the best in American singing and songwriting. New this year, the opening night concert will befree, in the David Rubenstein Atrium, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. 'Live From Lincoln Center,' the Emmy Award-winning program broadcast nationally on PBS stations, will shoot four of the first week's American Songbook concerts in The Allen Room: by James Naughton, Lawrence Brownlee, Jason Isbell, and Patina Miller. These performances will be broadcast nationally beginning in Spring 2014. In addition, American Songbook concerts taking place in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center will be live-streamed via http://watch.lincolncenter.org.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) will present the ninth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, will be presented by Joel Grey on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.
